Healthcare Improvement Scotland (HIS) is the independent regulator of health and social care in Scotland. They are the foremost authority in our industry, assessing health providers' ability to provide the people with safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care.
Whether a health company sits on the private or public side of the fence, HIS will have assessed them – and that is just as true for individual NHS trusts as it is for The St Andrews Private GP Clinic.

If you have any comments, suggestions or complaints about any aspect of the service we provide, please feel free to bring this to our attention as soon as possible to allow us the opportunity to address your concerns and, if necessary, conduct a full investigation.
You can complain about any aspect of the service we provide.
- Any patient
- In certain circumstances, a complaint can be made on behalf of someone else, as long as that person has given consent.
- If a patient is incapacitated or unable to give consent, a relative or other representative can make a complaint.
- A complaint can also be made on behalf of someone who has died.
Complaints can be made either in writing or in person.
